What’s in your bag?
Welcome to our 1st edition of “Whats in your bag?” which will spotlight a bit more personal side of the PritchardPeck Lighting team and let you dive into the secrets of what we carry on our backs everyday! First up is Anna Lok, our calc rockstar, who just returned from an amazing trip around Japan. Enjoy!
Where did you get your bag? I got it in Narita, Japan while I was traveling this spring. It was my last splurge before jumping back to the States. I had 30,000yen left in my pocket and 30 minutes to spend it, good thing I’m a pro. I found this super fashionable backpack that I saw on all the girls in Tokyo so I had to grab it, it’s like it was meant to be!
What’s the one thing you use more than anything else? My headphones. I love music and I need to listen to it pretty much all the time whether I’m on BART, updating drawings for an architect, or running calcs for a project. They help keep me focused.
Are you more form or function? I’d have to say 50/50. Everything I buy has to be aesthetically pleasing; I spend hours searching the internet for pieces that work with the things I already own but that also perform a function.
How would you describe your personal aesthetic? That’s a hard question! I suppose the words I would use to describe my aesthetic are… feminine, functional, and kawaii It’s my goal to be more minimal with my everyday purchases to reduce clutter, so the things that I do purchase must all be functional and be aesthetically pleasing. The exception would be my keychain, but I would argue that it brings joy to my soul.
Last question: is that a screwdriver in your pencil pouch? Yes it is, and I actually carry it with me everyday. Screwdrivers are so important during site Focus sessions, that I got into the habit of carrying one with me wherever I go… just in case.
I love this! I found it my accident. I was reading the KQED piece and this popped up. Anna nice to get to know you better. Celine
