Erin Sudderth is the newest addition to our growing team here at PritchardPeck Lighting. She brings with her almost 10 years of industry experience, a BA in Graphic Design as well as a BFA in Interior Architecture & Design. Erin is a true California girl having lived here her whole life; with a stint in Los Angeles for a few years she made her return to the Bay Area. It was while studying for her BFA at the Academy of Art University when she fell in love with lighting. Coincidentally Jody Pritchard was her professor and Erin was instantly entranced with lighting design. She found it to be the perfect balance of nerdiness and artistic freedom to make an environment come to life with illumination. (How could she resist light level calculations and lighting controls?)
We have some exciting news on the horizon. Stay tuned!
The program was straightforward: A cozy music room on a family estate nestled in the heart of the Redwoods. Three years later, the completed project encompassed a professional-quality recording studio and performance space, all housed within a 19th-century barn the owners discovered in New York and shipped to Northern California by rail. The PritchardPeck team was tasked with bringing the cutting-edge studio and historic barn into harmony, while creating an inspiring lighting design that met rigorous standards for acoustical engineering. What does beautiful lighting sound like? That question became an obsession for us over the course of this project.
